Labour stimulation

118087122_113660123784804_2538867918255505722_n.jpg

It is about applying manual techniques in synergy to facilitate the onset of labor and support the woman in that process of preparation and change that is childbirth. Every woman and every pregnancy are different, so the labor stimulation treatment will be tailor-made after a brief consultation. The techniques used to promote labor include acupressure, aromatherapy, Bach flower remedies, acupressure, metamorphic technique, and moxibustion. The goal of all these tools is not to force an event that should be natural, but to gently accompany the mother and child to meet each other in the world.

BIRTH SCAR_edited.jpg

Birth scar treatment

We cannot think of healing a Scar if we do not first work on how much that scar has incorporated, lived and suffered.  We work at 360° on body, heart and emotions. That's why from the first treatment the Scar is completely different, thinned, aligned and .... you will discover it. This treatment really helps women find themselves. The common thread that harmoniously unites both aspects of our body (internal and external) and thus finally be a mother, a wife a daughter and a Woman.

This is a gentle holistic treatment that works in depth and continues to do so even hours and days after the end of the session!

The treatment is pain free and suitable for pregnant women as well.

It is useful to treat C-section, Episiotomy, Lacerations, Hysterectomy and Myomectomy Scars.

Closing bones 1_edited.jpg

Postnatal rebozo massage and closing the bones ritual

Closing the Bones is a way to support a woman's recovery after childbirth; a way to celebrate the amazing abilities of her body; and a way to create a moment of stillness, of meditative peace and reflection in the rollercoaster of emotions of new motherhood.
It is a postnatal ritual. It is a ceremony. It is a nurturing massage with a shawl or scarf.
Starts by using a Rebozo or manta to rock and massage the shoulders, upper back, hips, chest, breasts, armpits, arms, wrists, hands, groin, legs, ankles and feet to release tension and stagnant energy, deeply stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, mobilise and articulate the spine and ribs, drain the lymphatic and cerebrospinal fluids, help you breathe deeply again, open up the sacrum, and release and relax the joints and muscles. This work can also help with swelling and oedema. Furthermore, this particular massage and rocking work deeply stimulates the Bladder meridian which runs all across the back of the body. The bladder meridian is intimately related to the autonomous nervous system and the meridian branches directly influence the sympathetic & parasympathetic trunks of the autonomous nervous system. Feelings held here can include guilt, feelings of duty, but also feelings about sexuality, self-control, self-support and stability. Releasing the tension in the back and stimulating the bladder meridian will automatically release the stored psychic tension, thus resolving many physical and psychological problems.

Massage Oil

Postnatal massage

Modern western society often pressures women to ‘get on with it’ immediately after giving birth. However, in other cultures the postnatal period is a time for nurturing the new mother with emotional support and lots of massage. The postnatal massage is designed to help the new mother to process the birth experience, to realign and balance and help her return to her centre, both physically and energetically.

In order to achieve this, two different massage technique are used: the postnatal meridian body massage for the first 6 weeks after delivery and the postnatal bioenergetic massage from week 7.

Postnatal massage may help with:

  • Soothes mind and body as you recover from birth

  • Supporting you in coping with the changes and challenges of motherhood

  • Providing a space for relaxation and much needed rest

  • Deeply relaxes to support your emotional wellbeing

  • Rebalance the flow of your body’s energy

Carnatic chant for pregnancy and birth

“Carnatic Chant” is traditional of South India and was introduced in Europe in the early 60s by the French obstetrician Frédérick Leboyer.

Every sound originates from a state of silence and ends up returning to silence; in the background the sound of the tampura, an Indian musical instrument that plays the C major chord. The use of sound and singing supports the breath and the breath itself is the key to letting go, following the natural process of birth.

Carnatic chant, which involves voice, breath and movement, fosters the emotional, physical and mental state of the pregnant woman and also stimulates the overall development of the unborn child.

Singing, breathing, sound and movement work in unison to release the accumulated tension in the pelvis, in the mind, in the uterus.

The practice of carnatic chant during childbirth allows you to:

  • support your innate ability to give birth by implementing some specific movements of the body to open the pelvis, the sacrum and the whole back;

  • practice abdominal breathing with simple toning practices to dissolve tensions and repressed emotions;

  • singing in scales in different musical modalities, which connects us to our deepest selves and helps in visualization, which is one of the most used techniques for dealing with the pain of childbirth;

  • enables a less painful labour, as the sound of your own voice facilitates the release of endorphins, which allow the body to produce a natural analgesic;

  • expands your throat and larynx, allowing the perineal area to relax and dilate naturally.

Metamorphic Massage

The metamorphic touch is focused on the spinal, conception and birth reflex points of reflexology; the areas that relate to your conception, gestation, birth and early attachment. In an energetic sense the events of this period have a dramatic influence on our character and behaviour.

Our conception and gestation influence the bedrock of our beliefs and patterns in the world, these experiences have echoes throughout our lives. The story of our birth also makes a strong imprint on our way of being, for example someone born by emergency caesarian might always feel dragged off before they're ready to go, or babies with a long gestation might like to take their time with things and so on.

When these deep patterns are creating problems in your life, it can be a lengthy slog to unpick them and metamorphic can clear these blocks to facilitate a deep healing.

One of the strengths of this work is that the therapist stays detached from the outcome of the treatment. The touch allows the intelligence of your own innate life-force to flow in the appropriate direction for you.

Metamorphic technique is neither a therapy nor a massage, instead it is a technique for transformation.

The touch is gentle and fluid, mostly on the feet, but also the hands and head and is incredibly relaxing.

You might decide to book a metamorphic session if you wanted to:

  • Change the patterns in your relationships

  • Respond to stress differently

  • Move on in your life

  • Release old habits and beliefs about the world that no longer serve you

  • Feel more fulfilled

  • Feel 'more yourself'

  • Just LET GO!
